WOW 9/23-10/6

Hey Fits!

Huge Congrats to Jessica Pierson on completing her first marathon this morning, what an accomplishment, I'm sure this isn't her last! Also, congrats to sisters Annette and Debbie on adding another marathon notch to their belts and of course Erick Italia on his marathon. Yo, Pauly Z ran further than he's ever run this morning finishing the Fox Valley 20 miler in prep for his first marathon, the Tecumseh Trail down in Indiana this December.

Wowzah, big shout out to our sponsor Geneva Running Outfitter's very own Eric Ott on WINNING the Fox Valley Half Marathon with a time of 1:15...do the math folks that's a 5:43 minute mile avg. what a rockstar! Congrats to Eric's 65 y/o Pops on finishing his first full marathon as well.

Other noteworthy performances this weekend include Brad "Dirty Dog" Sholtz, and friends of the Misfits Chris Scott, Christopher Rodriquez and Brian Parker for rocking the XTERRA US nationals course in Ogden, UT.

NOW THE GOOD STUFF!

Big Shout out to the following folks for gutting out some pretty phenomenal performances despite some less than ideal weather conditions! Cedar Point peeps held on during 28 mph wind gusts, a change in the swim venue due to strong rip currents and 3-6' waves and a 1/2 mi run to transition from the swim.

Rev3 Cedar Point
-Megan "Lunchbox" Weis for not only finishing her FIRST 70.3 but placing 1st in her AG and 11th OA chickadee.
-Deann Ryan for completing her first HalfRev Aqua-bike. Same as a half iron distance just minus the run!
-Kevin "Buffet" Satler for completing his first 70.3 and placing 8th Clydesdale OA
-Ron Searle completed the Full Rev Aqua-bike (2.4 mi swim and 112 mi bike) deciding the day before to endure the "suck"

Also congrats to Karen "Kanday" Kalkicki, Caitlin "Red" McMahon, Chris McMahon, "Zen" Al, Stain, fellow Wattie Mike Feldman, and Brad "Dirty Dog" Scholtz on outstanding repeat 70.3 performances!

Ironman Wisconsin
Mr. Ironman himself, Erick Italia's daughter Celine, who races the 18-24 cat, finished her FIRST IM in 14:45:58 which was 19/421 in her AG. SPECTACULAR!!!!!! FYI Celine had a faster swim than her pops, 2.4 miles in 1:35!!!! WOW!!!!
Erick Italia finished in 13:50:07
