what not to eat

Hey Losers,

Good morning and welcome to WHAT NOT TO EAT. Brought to you for your viewing pleasure. Provided by one of our own. Take it in, imagine its aroma. Now let's disect this meal so you know what you're really consuming and the toll it takes on your arteries.

All totals are approximates and represent the plate before you, not a serving size:

  • Calories: 2,182 (not including the OJ)
  • Fat: 127 grams
  • Cholesterol: 633 mg
  • Sodium: 5,120 mg
  • Carbs: 210 grams (not including the OJ)
What this means to you. Running on the treadmill you could burn 140 calories per mile @ 7.5 mph. Therefore it would take you 15.6 miles to burn off this breakfast. Assuming this is ALL you ate that day!!!!!!!!!!

Lovingly sent to you by Kristen!

Challenge #4

Hey Losers,

Just wanted to let you know we have dropped one participant, Kit Miner will no longer be playing the game. Secondly, Challenge #4 will be an extension of Challenge #3. You have one more week to find, register and show me the proof of your chosen athletic event. Please reference your previous email or the blogspot with the links to the race events.
Please note that this challenge should be viewed as motivation to put the hammer down in the coming weeks with regard to the competition. Having something to work toward can be very motivational.

Lastly, for those who haven’t paid in, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, you have until the end of this week, or your first shift back to pay OR YOU’RE OUT!!!
Regards and good luck!
Kristen

challenge #3 websites

Hey Losers,

Here are some additional websites you may try when looking for your athletic event to register for. By the way, I would like proof of registration sent to me via email as an attachment or place a copy in my mailbox. It is my hope that having an event dangling in the future will give some of you the extra motivation to keep losing. Remember try to register for a race prior to June, if that’s not possible look for July.

Good Luck to all,
Kristen

MISFITS holidays

MISFITS,

Howdy and happy holidays! Al and I decided we would not send out a schedule for the next 2 weeks as it is the holiday break and scheduling group runs can be a challenge with kids, family and friends around. This does NOT mean that we aren't available should anyone want to go for a run, just give us a hollah. Stay tuned for the next running schedule coming the first week in January.

Tecumseh

Hey Misfits,

Yesterday was momentous for several reasons. Five of us entered the woods of Yellow Wood State Park and five came out after a GRUELING 26.2 mile trail run with over 3,500' of elevation gain, 3,800' of elevation decline, roots, 34 creek crossings, some getting our feet wet, mud, frost and leaves. Unofficial times: Amy completed her first marathon in six and half hours; Ron and Timmy in just over five hours; Kristen, in four and half hours; and Al with a blistering four hours and fifteen minutes. Just a note, Al and Kristen beat their previous Tecumseh times by 45 minutes and an hour respectively. Kristen placed second in the 30-35 age group this year.

Will post official times and pictures as they are posted on the DINO website. I, being Kristen, am sooooooo proud of everyone. Will have next week's run schedule posted by the end of the day.

Run happy,
Kristen

Thursday, December 3, 2009

I think Al and I are going to skip tomorrow's run and rest up for Tecumseh. If anyone else wants to go your on your own. We would like to thank all of you for dealing with the ramped up milage over the last few months. Please keep Amy, Ron, Tim, Al, and I in your thoughts on Saturday.

Biggest Losers

Hey “Losers,”

Just an update email to tie up any loose ends I may have missed. Weigh-ins will be held every Monday. If I am not on shift or coming off of shift please weigh yourself using the scale in the workout room wearing the same clothes you weighed-in in. Be sure not to wear shoes, radio straps, (Lopez) or anything else that may skew your results. The scale must be on a hard surface, not carpet. Also, remember to record your weight in BOTH the journal I provided each of you and the Biggest Loser weight loss chart on the board in the workout room.
Your first challenge will be posted here Monday, 12/7.
Remember, this is a competition, play fair. However, this doesn’t prohibit strategizing. You may also team up if you wish; having a partner that can hold you accountable for meeting your goals may be helpful.

This is your competition. I will only offer advice if you seek it. I will not make you eat healthy or work out, but I will tell you that is how you’re going to win. You will only get out what you put in!
Good Luck!!!!!!
